The Impacts of Communication & Critical Thinking in My Future Role as a Leader in the Workplace

I think that there would be two main impacts caused by communication and critical thinking, in my future role as a leader in the workplace. They are problem solving skills and sharing of information.

The way a leader analyzes the problem would have a great effect to how the team members would solve it. If I made a wrong decision after my analysis or my analysis is done poorly, it would impact the way my team members would handle the situation. This could lead them to feel confused or frustrated. Hence, critical thinking would be needed to guide my team members in problem solving.

A leader would also need to communicate with other people, so that the same information is shared across. These people involve the clients, team members and stakeholders. If the information shared is not properly conveyed with the same meaning, it would cause misunderstandings between different parties. Thus, communication is key in information sharing to different audiences.

To conclude, communication and critical thinking will impact my future role as a leader in the workplace.
